The sessions covered the following topics: Universities and the Preservation of Culture - an International Challenge; Higher Education Institutions and Sustainability.

Within the framework of the Conference, meetings of IAUP board members and Executive Board members were held. The participants discussed the report by the Organization, planned future activities and debated over prospects of deepening cooperation among IAUP member Universities and new initiatives for promoting higher education and encouraging its development in the global environment.
The President of the Caucasus University signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Alcala University, which envisages cooperation in education, research and development.

The President of the Caucasus University was elected President-elect of the IAUP for 2014-2017 on June 14, 2014. In July, 2017, at the Assembly General in Vienna he will automatically be installed the President of the IAUP in 2017-2020 and will head the organization for the next three years.
