On May 11-13, Dr. Kakha Shengelia, president of Caucasus University, participated in the regional meeting and conference of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) (in Egypt, Cairo) as the chairman of the governing board.
The event was hosted by Inan Galal, the chairman of the advisory board of IAUP. The meeting was attended by Caucasus University Vice President for Internationalization, Irena Melua, as well as members of the Executive Committee of IAUP, senior advisors, members of the Governing Board and others.
Within the framework of the conference, the theme of which was "Transforming Global Higher Education through Quality, Innovation and Inclusion", several panel discussions were held. Dr. Kakha Shengelia participated in the panel discussion and spoke on the topic: "UNESCO 2030 Roadmap: What Progress Have We Made?".
As part of the event, on October 6, an official meeting was held with the president and representatives of the Cairo University governing board. It is worth noting that Dr. Kakha Shengelia signed a memorandum of cooperation with various leading universities in America, India and Mexico.
Within the scope of the visit, a meeting of the IAUP Governing Board was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Kakha Shengelia. The members of the board discussed the current programs of the IAUP, approved new members of the organization, discussed the activities of the current year and planned the events for 2024.
