On November 29-30, a successful 2-day Ideathon - Smart City Solutions for a Better Tomorrow - was held at Rustavi Digital Development Space, organized by Caucasus University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center in collaboration with Rustavi Digital Development Space.
The event aimed to provide school students from Rustavi with practical exposure to modern innovative approaches, startup tools, and technological perspectives on urban development. Over the course of two days, participants worked on the core components essential for a smart city - technology, sustainability, and inclusivity - and gained experience in ideation, design thinking, business model development, and preparing a Pitch Deck.
The Ideathon involved mentors from Caucasus University, including Irakli Svanidze - Acting Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and a guest lecturer at the university, as well as Sofo Begashvili - architect, affiliated Assistant Professor at Caucasus University, and PhD.
During the Ideathon, the students collaboratively developed innovative solutions aimed at digital and sustainable urban development and presented their ideas to the jury during the final stage.
At the conclusion of the competition, one outstanding team was selected and awarded symbolic prizes by Caucasus University and Rustavi Digital Development Space.
The event provided participants with the opportunity to contribute to solutions distinguished by innovation and a systematic approach. This was fundamental for addressing existing urban and technological challenges and ensuring the successful implementation of their ideas.
