EU Erasmus + project, “Strengthening the Quality and Relevance of the Third Mission in Georgian Universities - SQUARE”, Study Tour in Nantes, France

On November 7-12, within the framework of the Erasmus + project, - Strengthening the Quality and Relevance of the Third Mission in Georgian Universities - SQUARE”, Nantes University hosted a study tour. Within the project partnership, Archil Borjadze, Manager of the Strategic Development Department at Caucasus University participated in the study tour together with the representatives from 8 partner universities and public institutions from Georgia.

 

Within the framework of the visit, Emmanuel Bousquet, Vice President Culture Nantes University, introduced to the Georgian partners main activities, goals and strategies of the third mission of the Nantes University. Participants also attended workshops by representatives of the Nantes University on the systemic approaches and local challenges of the Third Mission.

 

Moreover, meetings were also held at the Nantes City Hall, where Aziliz Gouez (Municipal council - elected member) held the Workshop on the following topic: „Science and the city/territories: Stakes and Challenges of Global Transitions“.

 

The coordinator of the SQUARE project is Tbilisi State University. The project consortium is a group made up of 8 Georgian and 2 European universities together with Georgian Ministry of Education and Science and the National Center of Education Quality Enhancement. 

 

The aim of the SQUARE project is to improve the quality and relevance of the third mission of universities. The project will help raise awareness about the third mission of the universities, increase the capacity of the university community to properly plan the activities of the third mission and evaluate their results.
