On June 5th, Caucasus University hosted a student conference titled "Development of a tourist destination and its marketing campaign."
Organized by the Caucasus Tourism School, the event welcomed students of tourism and various other disciplines from accredited universities across Georgia.
The commission comprised Nina Kekelidze, head of the Education Committee of the Georgian Tourism Association, Anano Kekelia, head of the Brand Development Department of the Georgian National Tourism Administration, and Giorgi Bregadze, a professor at the Caucasus School of Tourism.
The Grigol Robakidze University team, named "Grun," secured first place for their project titled "Functional understanding of the Surami resort - from green concept to slow tourism." The team from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, named "Capiteli 2024," secured second place with their project on " the country of Chkhari," which focused on transforming a town into a rural area and exploring its tourism potential.
At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the Tourism School, Diko Kopaleishvili, gave certificates to the students participating in the conference.
The conference of the same format has been a recurring event for several years, and will elevate to an international level in the future.
