Students of the Caucasus School of Education visited the Amonashvili Academy

16 December 2025

On December 14, pedagogy students visited the Amona¬shvili Academy “Mzianeti”, located in Kakheti.

The students attended a lecture delivered by the founder of Humanistic Pedagogy, Mr. Shalva Amonashvili, and his son, Mr. Paata Amonashvili, a lecturer at Caucasus University. Mr. Shalva introduced the students to the principles of Humanistic Pedagogy, shared a remarkable story about how his own school teacher influenced the formation of his philosophy, and gave examples illustrating the powerful impact each teacher can have on a child’s development. The students also had the opportunity to engage in a question-and-answer session with Mr. Shalva.

Mr. Paata Amonashvili explained to the students the essence of Humanistic Pedagogy, which is grounded in unconditional love toward the child. During the lecture, they discussed the foundations of Humanistic Pedagogy and its positive role in a child’s development. The history of the creation of “Mzianeti” was shared with the students by Mr. Paata Amonashvili’s wife, Ms. Tamriko Skhvitari¬dze.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the @ Amonashvili Academy for this unforgettable day, for the warm hospitality, and for the memorable lectures that will leave a lasting impression on our students.

Special thanks to @Caucasus University for providing transportation for the students to Kakheti.
