The Jean Monnet Chair “European Union for Peace, Prosperity and Security” (Jean Monnet Chair: 101175522 - EU-PPS) for the second time in the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year hosted Sunday School for pupils “Current International Challenges and the Europeanisation of Georgia”.
On 28 March 2025, Sunday School for pupils was held. David Natroshvili, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Caucasus University, welcomed the Sunday School participants.
The Sunday School was conducted by the Chair’s Professor Guranda Tchelidze. She told the pupils about the history of the European Union, Georgia-EU relations, Russia's aggression against Ukraine and its impact on international processes. During the conversation, the EU enlargement packages for 2023 and 2024 were discussed, as well as problems and opportunities related to the Europeanisation of Georgia today. The meeting was held in accordance with the developed module and agenda for Sunday School. The meeting was interactive, during which participants had the opportunity to discuss questions on issues of their interest.
Twenty pupils from different public schools participated in the Sunday School.
