Are you registered in Samtskhe-Javakheti, have an innovative startup idea, and are unsure about how to turn your idea into a real business? Then this program is for you!
A pre-accelerator project is launching in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region through a collaboration between the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency and USAID's "Unity in Diversity" program.
The project is implemented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of Caucasus University.
The goal of the pre-accelerator is to develop fundamental skills in innovative thinking, ideation, and startup building within the region, and to form new teams focused on these areas. Additionally, participants will be prepared for the GITA 25,000 GEL grant competition through the program.
Any person 16+ registered in Samtskhe-Javakheti can participate.
Program implementation period: 19.07.2024 - 01.09.2024
Duration of the program: 7 weeks
Registration for the project ends on July 15.
The pre-accelerator program will be divided into 3 main stages:
- Generating/refining ideas
- Validation and product customization
- Fundraising Opportunities, Final Presentations/Demo Day
As part of the program, participants will learn the principles of creating and developing startups based on the experience of various accelerators. Using real examples, they will gain knowledge and practical experience in evaluating startup ideas and creating innovative products that address existing problems. They will also learn how to use various tools to develop a comprehensive business plan for their startup idea. With the support of mentors, teams will work on their innovative ideas, preparing them for presentation on demo day. In the final phase of the program, each team will receive consultations on the application procedures for the GITA 25,000 GEL grant competition and will be guided through the application process.
The pre-accelerator program in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region is being carried out under the USAID "Unity in Diversity" program, implemented by the United Nations Association of Georgia (UNA Georgia) with financial support from the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The project is initiated and supported by the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA).
