Training Programme and Consortium Meeting within the PRODIGE Project at Telavi State University

13 July 2026

From 29 June to 2 July, representatives of Caucasus University participated in the training programme “Mastering Change Management Process” and the consortium Coordination Meeting organised within the framework of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project PRODIGE - Promoting Quality Digital Education in Georgia. The University was represented by David Tsiklauri, Director of the Strategic Development and Research Facilitation Departments; Akaki Kapanadze, Director of the Project Management Department; Fred Katongole Kasirye, Assistant to the Director of the Project Management Department; and Tamar Telia, International Projects Manager.

The first three days of the programme were dedicated to strengthening institutional capacities for managing digital transformation in higher education. The training sessions were delivered by representatives of Algebra Bernays University (Croatia) - Prof. Leo Mršić, Vice-Rector for Science and Research, and Iva Mandekić, expert in organisational change management and business transformation. The training covered key topics including institutional readiness for digital education, governance and leadership models, stakeholder engagement, organisational change management, quality assurance, sustainability planning, and the development of institutional implementation roadmaps.

As part of the practical workshops, participants conducted an institutional self-assessment and developed the initial version of their university’s Digitisation Plan. The Caucasus University team analysed the University’s current level of digital readiness, identifying institutional strengths, existing challenges, governance priorities, and implementation risks. Based on the outcomes of the workshops, the team prepared an initial institutional roadmap outlining strategic priorities related to governance, staff capacity development, digital infrastructure, quality assurance, and pilot digital education initiatives.

On 2 July, Caucasus University delegates Akaki Kapanadze and David Tsiklauri participated in the consortium Coordination Meeting, where partners reviewed the progress of the project, discussed the implementation of key work packages, and planned the next stages of project activities.

Participation in these activities contributed to strengthening Caucasus University’s institutional capacity for digital transformation and supported the ongoing development of a strategic and sustainable approach to high-quality digital education within the framework of the project.
