Welcome Party for incoming CU Freshmen

The evening was led by experienced anchors Giorgi Kukhalashvili, Elene Baghaturia and Keti Matiashvili. The music was provided by CU student Giorgi Khotivrishvili.

Kakha Shengelia presented a welcome speech to students in starting out the festive evening. He phrased the freshmen's choice of institute of higher education and said that "they had entered into the best and most respected university in Georgia and one of the best in Europe as well."

After speech the entertainment began in combination with other eventful activities, even from as students entranced the Tbilisi Event Hall, students had to mark on their hand the university ribbon with colors and emblems; the winner was declared with having collected the most lines.

In addition to such original games, a dance competition was held and winner couples received special prizes "golden crowns".

Incoming freshmen also took part in a singing context and a quiz program. Deans of schools gave speech to freshmen from the stage. Following the speech, each of them danced with selected students. The winning pair in the hall was honored, after that the "Dean's Hat" was given to the Dean of the School of Technology.
Finally, CU's president together with administration and deans cut the first piece of the festive cake and thanked the organizers of party. The evening proceeded with the welcome party and everybody getting to know one another with music played by a DJ.

Caucasus University has many freshmen this year, and a total of 695 students started as the largest entering class ever.
