The first WIT event in Georgia on the topic - Becoming a GAME CHANGER

On March 3, the first Women in Tech event in Georgia was held in the conference hall of Caucasus University for CU students.

 

The topic of the panel discussion was: Becoming a GAME CHANGER

 

Speakers included: Ayumi Moor Aoki - Founder and President of Women in Tech; Mariam Lashkhi - Member of Parliament, Member of the Standing Parliamentary Council for Gender Equality; Mariam Kobalia - Gender & Economic Inclusion Policy Lead, Caucasus, EBRD; Nino Lortkipanidze - Senior Innovation Officer, THE Crossroads, WIT Ambassador in Georgia

 

The guests were hosted by the Vice-President of Caucasus University, Buba Lezhava

 

Speakers touched on important topics such as the role of women in technology, the challenges they face, the strengths and positives of women as leaders, what motivated speakers on the road to leadership, and how future generations will deal with these challenges. The event was held in an interactive format, the participants received comprehensive answers to questions of interest and importance to them.

 

Within the framework of the partnership between THE Crossroads startup platform and Women in Tech, the official representative office of WIT has been established in Georgia, which will be headed by Nino Lortkipanidze, a graduate of Caucasus University.

 

Women in Tech aims to create an equal environment in the field of technology, empower women entrepreneurs and startups, and create new opportunities and promote innovation in the Tech industry.
