Healthcare Management Students at Caucasus School of Business Successfully Defend Their Master’s Theses

On July 13 and 14, students enrolled in the Master’s Program in Healthcare Management at Caucasus School of Business successfully defended their master’s theses.

 

Their research addressed a wide range of timely issues in the healthcare sector, from access to rehabilitation services for rare diseases and private health insurance incentives to oncology financing models, the use of artificial intelligence, and systemic challenges in quality management.

 

The theses were completed under the academic supervision of Professors Tengiz Verulava, Temur Barkalaia, and Sopio Khajomia.

 

The students presented research on the following topics:

  • Tamuna Gigolashvili – Oncology Treatment Financing Models in Georgia: A Comparative Analysis of State Programs and Private Insurance
  • Ana Jaiani – Management and Development of the Dialysis Program in the Samegrelo Region
  • Lizi Tsetskhladze – AI-Assisted Initial Services for Beneficiaries
  • Ana Komakhidze – The Role of Management in Laboratory Processes: Reducing Errors and Improving Patient Safety
  • Barbare Gigineishvili – The Role and Development Prospects of Medical Assistance Services in Georgian and International Markets
  • Merabi Sharvadze – Human Resource Migration in the Healthcare Sector: The Global Context and Georgia
  • Salome Makharashvili – Healthcare Service Efficiency and Systemic Challenges in Quality Management at a Cardiology Clinic

 

The theses combined theoretical and practical analysis and addressed several important aspects of healthcare development in Georgia, including improvements in service quality and the challenges of modern healthcare management.

 

The examination committee comprised Professors Temur Barkalaia, Sopio Khajomia, Lasha Kiladze, Tengiz Verulava, Medea Zurabishvili, Ekaterine Gloveli, Tsira Chakhaia, and Nino Kajaia.
