Caucasus University hosted a public lecture titled “Soviet Business and Its “Trail” Today” on June 13.
The lecture was presented by Koka Lazishvili, an entrepreneur who has founded several successful companies since 1990 and served as Vice-President of the Rugby Federation from2004 to 2008.
The lecture explored the following topics: business during the Soviet Union, planned economy, absence of private property and state-controlled pricing; business during the transition period in the late 1980s and early 1990s; business during the free market period.
The lecture was held in an interactive format and allowed the participants to receive comprehensive answers to their inquiries.
