Overview

The purpose of the program is to prepare highly qualified healthcare management specialists who are competitive in the local and international labor markets, taking into account the modern needs in the field of system management and labor market requirements pursuant to the recommendations of the World Health Organization, professional associations, as well as the reforms implemented in the Georgian healthcare system, by providing the necessary and modern knowledge.

 

  • The purpose of the program is to develop sectoral competencies among students, namely, to obtain general and broad knowledge of health care administration, which implies the study of the main principles, theories and concepts of health care administration.
  • The purpose of the program is to train health care management specialists who, by applying the acquired knowledge in practice, ensure the assessment of the challenges of healthcare organizations, making reasoned conclusions and making appropriate decisions; Through their professional activities, they will contribute to the introduction of modern, innovative approaches of healthcare organizations, strengthening the efficiency of the healthcare system and improving the well-being and health of the population.
  • To help the graduate to develop transferable skills in demand in the ever-changing labor market, such as oral and written communication, analysis, argumentation, problem assessment and creative solving, working effectively in a team, as well as ensuring effective operation with knowledge of such sectoral issues as strategic management of healthcare organizations, governance and financial accounting, marketing, quality of medical services, information systems management, project management, etc.
