On July 14, Caucasus University hosted the public defense of the dissertation by Giorgi Papava, a student in the English-language doctoral program in economics at the School of Economics. His paper is titled "Impact of Distributed Profit Taxation on Firm Performance: The Case of Georgia," (supervisor - Associate Professor Lasha Chochua).
The dissertation defense was conducted before a board comprising:
- Vano Benidze, Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University;
- Lasha Chochua, Associate Professor, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University International School of Economics (ISET);
- Akaki Tsomaia, Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University;
- Vakhtang Charaia, Professor, Grigol Robakidze University;
- Tengiz Taktakishvili, Associate Professor, School of Business, Caucasus University;
At the defense, Giorgi Papava presented his dissertation and answered questions; afterwards the reviewer, Caucasus University Professor Akaki Tsomaia, presented his evaluation.
According to the dissertation board, Giorgi Papava successfully defended his dissertation and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Economics.
