Doctoral Dissertation Defense of Tamar Mdivnishvili, PhD Candidate of the English-Language Doctoral Program in Economics

On June 29, Caucasus University hosted the public defense of the doctoral dissertation of Tamar Mdivnishvili, PhD candidate of the English-language Doctoral Program in Economics at the School of Economics. The dissertation - “Asymmetric Monetary Policy: A DSGE Approach,” was supervised by Mariam Kharaishvili, Assistant Professor.

 

The defense was held before the Dissertation Committee composed of the following members:

 

  • Vano Benidze, Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University;
  • Davit Keshelava, Assistant Professor, International School of Economics at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (ISET);
  • Mariam Kharaishvili, Assistant Professor, International School of Economics at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (ISET);
  • Azer Dilanchiev, Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University;
  • Irakli Danelia, Associate Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University.

 

During the public defense, the PhD candidate presented the key findings of her dissertation and responded to questions from the committee. The reviewer, Davit Keshelava, Assistant Professor at ISET, then presented his evaluation of the dissertation.

 

Based on the decision of the Dissertation Committee, Tamar Mdivnishvili successfully defended her dissertation and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Economics.
