On October 5, Caucasus School of Media welcomed U.S. expert Shane Tews, President of Logan Circle Strategies and a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.
Tews met with university administrators and faculty from several schools. Given her expertise in media and technology, representatives of Caucasus School of Technology also took part.
The conversation covered rapid advances in artificial intelligence and their impact on media and journalism, as well as cybersecurity challenges, digital freedom, and the role of social media. Participants also explored how emerging technologies are reshaping the information landscape.
A particular focus was the new challenges facing the media industry and journalism education in the age of AI, alongside the growing interdependence of media and technology.
The visit was organized by the U.S. Embassy in Georgia.
