On September 20-23, Caucasus University, as part of the Media Dialogue project, hosted workshops and a conference on Media Dialogue 2021 for Conflict Sensitivity and Research. The project is being held for the fourth time with the support of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Caucasus University and its media school are participating in it for the fourth time since 2015.
The final conference of the project was opened by the President of Caucasus University Dr. Kakha Shengelia and the project coordinator Wolfgang Ressmann. Caucasus School of Media lecturer, journalist Salome Ugulava delivered a speech at the conference on the challenges of disinformation and modern media. The current armed and frozen conflicts were discussed by Eka Akobia, Dean of Caucasus School of Governance, and representatives of the Eastern Partnership countries.
During the workshops, students from Caucasus School of Media and Governance presented their jointly created products in the fields of media, politics and conflict (blogs, videos, etc.). In the final part of the conference, CSM students: Ani Meladze, Ana Tateshvili, Elene Khachiashvili, Tekla Zghudadze, Ketevan Gelashvili, Sophio Sharadze, Gvantsa Bedoshvili, Mariam Bekaia, Elene Tvauri and Tamar Benashvili - were awarded certificates.
The goal of the Media Dialogue project is to work closely with professional journalists, academics and students. The member countries of the project are Germany, Georgia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova and Armenia.
