The summer school “The European Union Against Disinformation” has concluded at Caucasus University.

The initiative was held as part of the European Commission-funded project “Integrating European Models of Media Literacy into Georgian Academia.”

The three-year project aims to introduce a new course - “European Models of Media Literacy” at Caucasus School of Education, provide professional development training for schoolteachers, and organize a summer school for upper-secondary students. The project was developed by Giorgi Jologua, Associate Professor at Caucasus University.

The 2026 summer school ran for two weeks and brought together approximately 60 students from four schools in Tbilisi. Throughout the program, participants examined a range of issues related to the influence of mass media, including the impact of entertainment and social media, commercial and political propaganda, and the spread of disinformation.
