Public Lecture – “Foreign Visitor Flow to Georgia: Trends, Forecast and Determinants”

On May 14, Caucasus University hosted a public lecture by Ekaterine Gloveli, Associate Professor at the School of Tourism, on the topic “Foreign Visitor Flow to Georgia: Trends, Forecast and Determinants.” 

 

The lecture addressed the following topics: 

 

  • The role of statistics in the tourism field;
  • Trends in foreign visitor numbers to Georgia;
  • Assessment of quarterly dynamics of foreign visitors using the seasonality index;
  • A forecast of foreign visitor flows for 2025;
  • A comparison of past forecasts with actual data;
  • An analysis of factors influencing visitor flow. 

 

The event was attended by representatives of the Tourism School administration, professors, students, and other interested guests.

 

The lecture was followed by a discussion session.
