The presentation of the project "Comments on the Juvenile Justice Code"

On January 25, 2024, the presentation of the project "Comments on the Juvenile Justice Code" was held at Caucasus University. The purpose of which is to develop commentaries on the Juvenile Justice Code.

 

Representatives of various state agencies and international organizations took part in the meeting. within the framework of the discussion, participants provided the project implementers with their recommendations regarding the Code's comments.

 

The head of the project - Levan Darbaidze, affiliated professor of the Caucasus University and judge of the Gori District Court, will work on "Comments on the Juvenile Justice Code"; Eka Areshidze - Tbilisi City Court judge and Renate Winter, Austrian judge at the Special Court of Sierra Leone and expert in family law, juvenile justice systems, women's justice. She is a founding member of the International Institute for Children's Rights (IDE).

 

The coordinator of the project is the affiliated professor of the Caucasus University, the head of the BA, MA and PHD law programs - Levan Moshlishvili.

 

Within the framework of the project, similar meetings will continue for universities,  non-governmental organizations and other  interested persons.

 

Within the framework of the same project, Levan Darbaidze, the head of the project, and Sofio Shengelia, the dean of the Caucasus Law School, took part in the "Peak Hour" program of the Georgian Radio, where they talked about the events planned within the project "Comments of the Juvenile Justice Code".
