Nino Kharitonashvili, associate professor of Caucasus School of Law, was invited to the Faculty of Law of the University of Catania in the framework of the post-doctoral program "Social and Humanitarian Sciences in the Post-Crisis Period" under the auspices of the European Scientific Institute-ESI in Sicily, Italy.
She held a meeting with Prof. Salvatore Zappalà, Director of the Law Department and Full Professor of International Law (University of Catania) and Doctor of Law, Professor of Civil Procedure and Arbitration at the University of Catania, Alessandro Fabbi. Within the framework of the meeting, the issue of deepening cooperation with Georgian and Italian universities and signing a memorandum was discussed.
It is worth noting that the University of Catania is the oldest in Sicily, it was founded in 1434, and the Faculty of Law is a center of legal education for Sicilian and Italian cultural and professional circles, which promotes and implements teaching and research programs in the context of global legal education.
In 2018, the faculty gained the status of "excellent faculty" of Italian higher education. The deepening of cooperation between universities will bring Georgian university education closer to European values.
