On November 24, the CU Hackathon Award Ceremony was held at the campus of Caucasus University.
The Startup Ideas Competition, CU Hackathon 2020, was held for students of every school at the University. As part of the competition, participants competed against each other in themes related to their specialties. Caucasus School of Economics students Gega Kopaleishvili and Giorgi Zoidze won the competition with the project “WeTrade”. The theme of the project was the facilitation of international trade. The winning team received a GEL 2,000 voucher from Caucasus University President, Dr. Kakha Shengelia and the Dean of the Caucasus School of Economics, Mr. Soso Berikashvili. Caucasus University Vice President, Mr. Buba Lezhava addressed the members of the first place team and congratulated the students on the victory. Zviad Sirabidze, Director of the Advertising Company "Kadri" was involved in the implementation and promotion of the project “WeTrade”.
It should be noted that Caucasus University Startup Accelerator C10 will assist the winning team in funding the project. The CU hackathon lasted for 6 weeks. It included meetings and live engagements on topics such as team building, idea validation, prototype/MVP, product development, pitching to investors, and more.
