On June 3, the Caucasus School of Technologists (CST) held a student scientific conference. The school scientific conference serves to develop students' academic and research skills and promote professional specialization.
Students from various educational programs of the School of Technology participated in the conference, who presented papers in the fields of cybersecurity, cryptography, and cryptocurrency. The students' works were distinguished by their thematic diversity, depth of research, and practical significance.
The winners of the conference were:
First place – Albert Panyan and Gary Manukov, first-year students of the Bachelor of Computer Science program.
- Topic: Cryptography as a bridge between computer science and mathematics.
The topic focuses on cryptography, specifically its algorithms, as the most direct link between mathematics and computer science.
Second place – Giorgi Burjaliani, 1st year student of the Bachelor of Computer Science program.
- Topic: Cryptocurrency - a source of financial freedom
The topic concerns a complex analysis of the technological, economic and social aspects of cryptocurrency, along with a detailed description of its functions and capabilities.
Third place – Tengiz Iluridze and Anzor Bigvava, 2nd year students of the English-language Bachelor of Computer Science program.
- Topic: Vulnerable cybersecurity in Georgia and possible improvements.
The topic delves deep by highlighting all the places that Georgian virtual environment needs improvement in. Network security can be polished further and align its integrity next to developed European countries and provide secure, private and untampered data in the network of Georgia.
