Within the framework of the Democracy Commission’s Small Grants Program, and organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of Caucasus University, the 10-week intensive startup pre-acceleration program CUnicorn+ has officially started. The program brings together 11 selected technology startups from across the country:

On September 22, the official launch event of the program was held, giving the audience the opportunity to learn about the program’s objectives, structure, participating teams, and mentors.
Speakers at the event included:
- Kakha Shengelia – President, Caucasus University
- Eavan Cully – Cultural Attaché, U.S. Embassy Tbilisi
- Levan Darsalia – Deputy Chairman, Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency
- Bob Smith – Executive Director, Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, The George Washington University
- Irena Melua – Vice President for Internationalization, Caucasus University
- Irakli Svanidze – Acting Head, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Caucasus University
CUnicorn+ encourages innovative technological ideas, accelerates the growth of startups, strengthens international partnerships, and creates a practically-oriented environment for young entrepreneurs.
The program will culminate in a Demo Day, where participants will present their startup ideas to a jury, investors, and representatives of the startup ecosystem.
The program’s prize fund amounts to $10,000.
