Healthcare Management Students Successfully Defended Their Master’s Theses

On July 14 and 15, 2025 Students of the Caucasus University School of Business Healthcare Management Master’s Program successfully defended their master’s theses.

 

The students’ research focused on various topics in the healthcare sector – from primary healthcare challenges to digital transformation and strategic management.

 

The defenses were led by academic supervisors: Professors Tengiz Verulava, Nata Kazakhashvili, and Sofio Khajomia.

 

The students presented the following topics:

 

  • Nino Ekizashvili – Challenges of Continuing Medical Education Development in Primary Health Care System in Georgia
  • Maka Gvelesiani – Financing of Healthcare Services: Qualitative Assessment of Private Health Insurance Schemes
  • Keti Mamniashvili – Financing Rehabilitation Services for Patients Diagnosed with Stroke within the Framework of Universal Healthcare: Need and Accessibility
  • Mariam Onashvili – Factors Affecting a Patient’s Intention to Revisit a Primary Health Care Facility
  • Keti Kavtaradze – Crisis Management in the Healthcare Sector: Experience in Managing Pandemics and Emergencies
  • Ana Chkheidze – Human Resource Management Strategies in Healthcare: Challenges and Opportunities for Effective Hospital Administration
  • Ana Isakova – Factors Impeding the Implementation of Strategic Decisions in the Healthcare Sector of Georgia
  • Ana Takidze – Perceptions, Attitudes and Barriers of Healthcare Students Regarding ChatGPT
  • Zurab Kocherashvili – Modern Models of Hospital Management: Innovative Approaches and Their Impact on the Quality of Healthcare Services
  • Tamta Lataria – Digital Transformation in Healthcare: Healthcare Professionals’ Attitudes to the Use of Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
  • Nutsa Pavliashvili – Medical Tourism and Resort Medicine: Challenges and Prospects of Medical Tourism in Georgia
  • Oto Lagazauri – Capacities of State Programs for the Management of Oncological Diseases and Population Awareness

 

The presented papers represented both theoretical and practical analyses, which will contribute to the development and improvement of the Georgian healthcare system.
