Informational Meeting within the Framework of the International Project on Research Ethics and Integrity

On October 20, within the framework of the Research Ethics and Integrity Week, an informational online meeting was held to discuss the ongoing international project, “Responsible Conduct of Research – Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS)”.

 

The meeting was led by Tamar Chokoraia, Head of the Academic Writing Center at Caucasus University, and David Tsiklauri, Head of the Research Support and Strategic Development Departments.

 

During the session, the speakers presented the activities implemented within the project and outlined plans. Interest was expressed in the key topics of the project - specifically, the work of the Research Committee and the Research Integrity and Ethics Certificate Course.

 

The meeting aimed to raise awareness of research ethics and integrity, and to promote higher ethical standards within the Georgian academic community.

 

Project in Brief:

 

The aim of the national structural reform project ETHICS is to launch a systemic improvement intervention to improve the quality of University and Research-Performing Organizations (RPOs) research through launching measures to adhere to the foundations of high-quality research and excellence.
