On July 9, the Caucasus School of Education, in partnership with the 105th public school of Tbilisi, hosted the second discussion round on "Citizenship Competence and Student's Prospects in the Labor Market" as part of the elementary pedagogy program.
This event was held within the framework of the project "Key Competences of Learning and Student Prospects in the Labor Market - 2024," which aims to effectively integrate key lifelong learning competencies into teacher training programs.
The meeting was organized using the Harkness method, featuring parallel discussions with participants including employers, educators, administration representatives, parents, students, and elementary pedagogy students from Caucasus University. Teachers from the 139th public school of Tbilisi also took part.
The discussions were facilitated by Aluda Goglichidze, Dean of the Caucasus School of Education and Affiliated Associate Professor, head of the Integrated Bachelor's and Master's Degree Program for Teachers of Primary Education (grades I-VI).
In the final stage of the discussion, participants explored the role of the school community and related interest groups—such as employers, school teachers, administrators, students, parents, professors, and non-governmental sector experts—in implementing key lifelong learning competencies, with a particular focus on "citizenship competence."
The discussion round was held at the 105th public school of Tbilisi.
