On June 20, Sofio Ogbaidze, a student in the CSE English-language PhD program in economics, defended her dissertation - "Determinants of social and political activism in Georgia: applying insights from behavioral economics" at Caucasus University.
The scientific supervisor of the dissertation was Professor Akaki Tsomaia.
The defense of the dissertation was held before the dissertation board, with the following composition:
Vakhtang Charaia, professor, Grigol Robakidze University;
Akaki Tsomaia, Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University;
Davit Keshelava, assistant professor, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University International School of Economics (ISET);

At the defense, the student presented her work and answered questions, after which the reviewer, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Assistant Professor Davit Keshelava, presented his own evaluations.
According to the evaluation of the board, Sofio Ogbaidze successfully defended her dissertation and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Economics.
