Qualification Awarded: Master of Economics.
Program Description:
The first part of the Master’s Program in Economics comprises 60 ECTS credits. The program aims to educate graduates with comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental principles, processes, and theories of economics. Master’s Program in Economics was developed through consultations with professors from universities in Bulgaria, Belgium, Magdeburg, and the College of Business of Florida State University. The program is focused on preparing highly qualified graduates in economics.
Program Objectives:
- Provide students with in-depth and systematic theoretical knowledge of economics.
• Enable graduates to apply modern economic principles and methods in practice, correctly interpret results, and implement practical projects.
• Develop the ability to analyze the functioning of the economy at the microeconomic, macroeconomic, and international levels.
• Develop competencies for understanding current events and processes in various areas of economics through the synthesis of theoretical and specialized knowledge.
• Foster analytical, creative, and innovative thinking skills, enabling students to collect and analyze economic data and draw generalized conclusions.
Career Opportunities:
The program is designed in line with labor market demands and sectoral standards. Graduates may pursue careers in public institutions and international organizations, including the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Finance, National Statistics Office, National Bank, local self-government bodies, the Government of Georgia, banks, insurance companies, audit firms, retail companies, educational institutions, and other organizations.
Continuation of Studies:
After completing the first part of the program, students may continue to the second (research) part of the Master’s Program in Economics.
Flexibility:
Classes are scheduled in the evening to help students combine work and study. Each course is taught one day per week.
