Program Description:
The second part of the program comprises 60 ECTS credits. It is designed to provide students with in-depth and systematic knowledge of modern economic research methods and econometric analysis. The program develops the ability to independently design research, formulate research problems and hypotheses, select appropriate methodologies, collect, process, and analyze economic data, and correctly interpret research findings. Students will be able to investigate contemporary economic issues using modern theoretical and empirical approaches. The program also develops academic writing, scientific argumentation, and research paper structuring skills, preparing students to independently complete and successfully defend a master's thesis.
Career Opportunities:
The qualification of Master of Research in Economics prepares graduates for careers in government and international organizations, research and consulting centers, financial institutions, and academia. Graduates may work as economists, researchers, policy analysts, or data analysts. Employment opportunities include research and analytical centers, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the Ministry of Finance, the National Statistics Office, the National Bank, local self-government bodies, the Government of Georgia, banks, insurance companies, audit firms, retail companies, educational institutions, and other organizations.
Further Study:
After completing the second part of the program, graduates are eligible to continue their studies at the doctoral (PhD) level.
Flexibility:
Classes are scheduled in the evening, allowing students to combine employment and study effectively. Each course is taught one day per week.
