The Bachelor's Programme in PR and Communication at the Caucasus School of Media is a 3-year undergraduate programme comprising 180 ECTS credits: 60 ECTS credits per academic year and 30 ECTS credits per semester.
The academic year is organized according to a semester-based system. Each semester consists of 19 teaching weeks, resulting in a total of 38 teaching weeks per academic year.
One ECTS credit corresponds to 25 hours of student workload, including both contact hours (lectures, seminars, presentations, and other learning activities) and independent study. The workload also includes time allocated for the preparation of assignments and presentations, as well as midterm and final assessments. A Summer Semester may also be offered.
The 180 ECTS credits are distributed as follows:
- Mandatory Major Component: 121 ECTS credits;
- Major Elective Component: 25 ECTS credits in total(15 ECTS credits for students who begin General English at the B1.0 level);
- Mandatory Free Component: 34 ECTS credits in total(44 ECTS credits for students who begin General English at the B1.0 level);
- Elective Free Component - Free Credits 20 ECTS, as maximum.
Students who do not complete all programme requirements within the standard 3 academic years due to academic deficiencies may retain their student status and continue their studies through additional semesters for the purpose of completing the programme. The maximum period of study, including any additional semesters, shall not exceed 5 academic years.
