Workshop on International Environment Day

On June 3-4, on the occasion of the International Environment Day, a two-day work meeting was held at the initiative of Caucasus University and the company "Esco-S". During the meeting, public lectures, seminar/workshop and free environmental activities were organized.

 

The event aimed to increase students' knowledge in terms of learning about the combination of "green" skills and technologies; Considering the perspectives of water resources protection on the territory of Georgia, taking into account the principles of sustainable development, in the context of discussing the issues of spatial planning and general plan of the municipality.

 

The event was attended by students and alumni of the Caucasus School of Technology's undergraduate program in Architecture, academic and visiting staff involved in the program, as well as students from the School of Leaders.

 

The first day of the event was hosted by Caucasus University. The event was opened by the Dean of CST Shota Nizharadze. During this day, the students of the School of Leaders met with students and alumni of the Caucasus School of Technology's undergraduate program in Architecture. Prospects for protection of water resources on the territory of Georgia, taking into account the principles of sustainable development, were discussed. The issues of spatial planning and general plans of the municipality were also discussed.

 

At the workshop, students presented several concepts of creative information banners to be placed in the Bazaleti Lake catchment area.

 

On the second day of the event, Bazaleti Green Engineering Center hosted a joint thematic conference - "Education for Sustainable Development" with the participation of Caucasus University, the Georgian Greens and the School of Leaders within the framework of the International Environment Day. Education for Sustainable Development - Infrastructure Development of the Adjacent Basin of Georgia - This was the slogan of the event.

 

The conference was dedicated to discussing several key issues with partners.

 

The students presented several concepts of creative information banners to be placed in the basin of Lake Bazaleti:

 

  • Protect the biosphere Protect your health
  • No noise and light pollution
  • Familiarize yourself with environmental regulations
  • Charge of the contaminant
