On October 22, the students of the undergraduate tourism program of Caucasus University were in Akhaltsikhe for the fourth "Bread Festival".

"Bread Festival" is a one-day event, which is held in Akhaltsikhe for the fourth time since 2010, at the initiative of "Elkana" together with the Akhaltsikhe Municipality Hall.

The purpose of the festival is to present the agro-tourism potential of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region and support the restoration and promotion of local varieties of wheat.

Students of the tourism program of different universities of Georgia participated in the festival. Two students of the undergraduate tourism program were selected from Caucasus University: Mariam Stepnadze and Nini Merabishvili. Students participated in master classes, tasted different types of bread baked on site, local traditional dishes, viewed ethnographic products and attended a concert of local folk ensembles.
