On May 18, American Lawyers Diane Glauber, David Zisser, Project Organizer Levan Jorbenadze visited CU. They introduced to students the project entitled "Community Development and Civil Rights – Experience Sharing". The participants became familiarized with the current Georgian system of legal assistance. Moreover, the American lawyers shared their experiences with students, as to on-going development of Civil Society in the United States, challenges, direction which includes: Community Benefits Agreements, Affordable Housing and Pro bono representative model in the United States (free legal assistance) to those of limited means.
The project is realized within the framework of Legislative Fellows Program (LFP) practice. The project is supported by American Councils for International Education and funded by Bureau of Cultural Affairs, US State Department.
