Why LLM at Caucasus University–its implications?
The Master’s Program in Law consists of two parts, each comprising 60 ECTS credits, for a total of 120 ECTS credits. As a rule, a student’s annual academic workload is 60 ECTS credits and may not exceed 75 ECTS credits. Each part of the Master’s Program lasts one academic year.
The educational Program brings together a team of highly qualified professionals, including researcher-theorists and specialists with unique legal practice. Their aim is to prepare, within a short period of time, a new generation of lawyers with qualifications relevant to the needs of employers.
Students of the Master’s Program at the School of Law will take English-language courses within the general university and English-language components of the Program, which will help them deepen their knowledge of legal English.
Caucasus School of Law is distinguished by the diversity of its legal clinics. Master’s students have the opportunity to undertake practical training in both public and private organizations.
A Master of Laws graduate may be employed in the public, private, and international sectors in positions requiring a Master’s academic degree in law, provided that Georgian legislation does not prescribe any additional qualification or certification requirements.
A Master of Laws graduate is qualified to engage in professional activities focused on the analysis of complex legal issues, legal counselling, and decision-making. The graduate may also undertake independent academic and research activities at the national and international levels.
Upon completion of the second 60-credit part of the Program and the award of the qualification of Research Master in Law, the graduate, in addition to the professional activities mentioned above, may carry out independent academic and research activities, be employed in higher education and research institutions, research and analytical centers, international organizations, and institutions working in the field of legal policy analysis and development.
Tuition fee: GEL 7,990 per year for citizens of Georgia.
