On March 31, students from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences bachelor's program in philology, Levan Kakliani and Elene Beridze, held a discussion on the topic - language and dialect; Pearl of the Fereydan dialect.

The discussion featured invited researchers Marine Beridze, Lia Bakuradze, Diana Anfimiadi, Nikoloz Nakhutsrishvili, and Amin Nageliani.

 

Invited researchers spoke about: 

the importance of language and dialect;

the linguistic portrait of Georgia;

the linguistic image of Fereydan Georgians, and more. 

 

At the end of the event, Georgians from Fereydan performed a musical piece;

 

Students presented dialectic texts and expressions in the form of an interesting performance;

 

The event is part of the project "I love Georgian - my state language!", the author of which is the professor of Caucasus University - Mariam Manjgaladze. The project was successfully implemented in Vilnius University, Lithuania, on April 14, 2016, and since then, it has been held every year at Caucasus University in various interesting formats.
