6 March 2025

On March 4, Caucasus University and the ICT Association (ICTA) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, aiming to bridge the gap between education and the technology industry, strengthen the innovation ecosystem, and create new opportunities for students.

This partnership will facilitate knowledge exchange and practical collaboration, benefiting both the academic and technological sectors.

As part of this collaboration, a series of training sessions will be launched at Caucasus University, aimed at enhancing students’ and young professionals’ knowledge in modern technologies. This initiative will help bridge the gap between education and industry, providing students with practical skills and better opportunities to integrate into the modern technological landscape.

The signing of the Memorandum was preceded by a panel discussion on the challenges between education and industry needs, in which Caucasus University’s Vice President for Internationalization, Irena Melua, spoke about the ongoing technological projects and programs at the university, the necessity of deepening collaboration with industry, and the importance of its active involvement in educational programs and technological initiatives. The panel also included representatives from other education institutions, who emphasized the need for closer and more effective collaboration with the private sector.

This discussion was held as part of the ICTA Annual Members’ Meeting, where the association’s board also presented its 2025 goals.
