On September 22, as part of the Startup Incubator program, the third online lecture was held on the topic: “Target Market and Its Scale (TAM, SAM, SOM)”, led by trainer Giorgi Volski. The session aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of market analysis, segmentation, and positioning - key components for sustainable and scalable startup growth.
During the lecture, participants learned methods for conducting industry, market, and competitor analysis, as well as explored the TAM, SAM, SOM framework (Total Addressable Market, Serviceable Available Market, Serviceable Obtainable Market) for assessing market structure. Through practical examples, the trainer explained how startups can define their target market, identify niche segments, and effectively position their products within a competitive environment.
The session also emphasized feasibility analysis and the creation of an opportunity map, helping participants evaluate market potential and define strategic directions for their startups’ growth.
