Public Lecture Cycle 2021 - Education Challenges
In 2020, the Caucasus Education School launched a project entitled "Digital Literacy and the Challenges of Primary Education Teacher Training in the New Georgian Reality" in response to the situation caused by the Coronavirus pandemic in the country. The project included public lectures on the challenges of digital literacy and the transition to an online education system, which revealed the interest of people involved in the education system across the country towards such a format.
Based on this experience, the Caucasus Education School, within the framework of the third mission of the University, implemented the project "Public Lecture Cycle 2021 - Education Challenges" in the period of July 9-28, 2021. The format was chosen precisely for the purpose of the third mission of the University, which means - the contribution of the university to the economic growth of the country and the development of the society, a service to the society.
The public lectures were primarily intended for students of Caucasus Education School, Integrated Bachelor's and Master's Degree Program for Teachers of Primary Education (grades I-VI), but were open to entrants interested in pedagogy, practicing teachers, school administration and parties interested in education policy.
Public lectures were conducted online using the Zoom platform, moderated by Aluda Goglichidze - Caucasus University Affiliated Associate Professor, Dean of Caucasus Education School, head of the Integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Program for Teachers of Primary Education (grades I-VI). The lectures were conducted in an interactive mode.
