The winning project by Affiliated Professor of the School of Technology in the 2022 State Science Grant Competition for STEM Interdisciplinary Studies

The project "Innovative approach to the creation of post-quantum digital signature schemes" by the affiliated professor of the School of Technology, Maxim Yavichi, became the winner of the 2022 state scientific grant competition of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia for interdisciplinary research in the direction of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

 

The main goal of the project is to develop a new digital signature scheme that will be able to protect quantum computers from attacks and be effective.

 

The results of the research will be important for the following groups of scientists and specialists:

 cyber security experts;

 applied cryptographs;

 mathematicians working on cryptography;

 mathematical modeling specialists; computer science experts.

 

The results of the research may also be of interest to lawyers and political scientists working in the field of cyber security.

 

The project is two years long and the budget is 140,000 GEL.
