The 12th GITI event, a regional event of cyber security and IT innovations, was held on December 1-2. Its goal is to strengthen the link and improve communication between the state and the business sector working in the field of security; an overview of significant IT innovations, cyber security projects in the country, state structure reforms, and communications with international partners.
Maksim Iavichi, professor of Caucasus University, director of the Caucasus Cyber Security Center, and president of SCSA, spoke at GITI 2022 about the implemented, current, and planned projects and activities within the framework of the Caucasus University Cyber Security Center. There was discussion about the BITSENTINEL center's representation, as well as training courses and hackathons introduced within its framework, during the report. Special consideration was given to the scientific projects carried out within the framework of the center in the areas of post-quantum cryptography and 5G network security. In addition, the report discussed local and international hackathons held on the Caucasus University campus.
Both Georgian business operators, as well as international organizations working in Georgia, representative offices and representatives of different countries involved in international projects take part in the mentioned event.
