Kakha Shengelia's visit to New Jersey City University

22 February 2022

Caucasus University President Dr. Kakha Shengelia is paying a business visit to New Jersey City University, hosted by New Jersey City University President, Sue Henderson.

Caucasus University is pursuing a joint undergraduate program in cyber security with the New Jersey City University. The program is unique because there is no such precedent in the field of cyber security. It is the first 3-year bachelor program in Georgia, which issues a double diploma from two universities.

At the meeting, the parties talked about the details of the program, visited the campus and the cyber security lab, which will be used by Georgian students under this program.

The meeting was also attended by Tamara Jhashi - Rector and Senior Vice President, Tamara Cunningham - Associate Vice President, New Jersey City University, Marvin Walker - Associate Dean, College of Professional Studies, New Jersey City University.

It is noteworthy that the universities have been cooperating since 2019 and are actively implementing joint projects. New Jersey City University is one of the most high profile and experienced universities in the state. It is also one of the few institutions in the country that has federal rights in both cybersecurity and intelligence.
