TH Wildau University representatives visit Caucasus University

Representatives from TH Wildau visited Caucasus University from January 12 to 16. It is worth noting that Caucasus University, in collaboration with TH Wildau, is implementing the master's program in digital logistics management.

 

During the visit, Frank Gillert, professor and doctor of the Department of engineering and natural sciences at TH Wildau, and Dr. Andreas Dudlik met with students from the program's first intake, with whom they discussed the next stages of the master's program in digital logistics management, as well as plans for the final semester, which involves students traveling to Germany and studying under the program. Sabine Bucher, a lecturer at TH Wildau, also met with the students online.

 

A meeting with Peter Fischer, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia, took place as part of the visit. At the meeting, the parties discussed the significance of Georgia's convenient logistics location, the uniqueness of the digital logistics management program for the Georgian market, as well as future cooperation and joint project implementation.

 

The representatives of the logistics companies that are partners of the master's program met with the parties to discuss the implementation of joint projects.

 

Dr. Kakha Shengelia, president of Caucasus University, Irena Melua, vice president for internationalization, Shota Nizharadze, dean of the Caucasus School of Technology, and Professor Giorgi Doborjginidze, head of the program, hosted the TH Wildau University representatives on behalf of Caucasus University.

 

It should be noted that the joint master's program in digital logistics management awards a joint diploma and is implemented with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and in cooperation with the Georgian Logistics Association (GLA).

 

The English-language master's program is the first in the region, which is implemented in the field of logistics management. It is unique in its content, multidisciplinary curriculum, which makes it possible to train high-ranking professionals in various fields. Due to its convenient logistics location, Georgia has the greatest potential to become a regional logistics hub. Which emphasizes once again the fact that the demand for qualified staff in the market will increase and it is important to have professional staff in the field.
