A fundamental research project developed under the leadership of Givi Adamia, Affiliated Assistant Professor at Caucasus University School of Law - “Unfair Competition Law: Paradigms for the Adaptation of the German Model into Georgian Legislation,” has been awarded funding by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
On February 28, a mock trial dedicated to issues of copyright infringement was conducted in the courtroom of Caucasus University for students of public and private schools.
On January 12, Caucasus University hosted the presentation of the first commentary handbook on the Juvenile Justice Code.
CSL Professor Khatuna Burkadze presented a paper on emerging trends in artificial intelligence at the CU International Conference, titled “The Evolution of the Digital World and the Sustainable Development Goals: Transforming Industries and Professions for Sustainable Development.”
On December 13, a simulated court trial was conducted at Caucasus University Courtroom for students from both public and private schools. The exercise was based on a real criminal case involving allegations of domestic violence, offering participants a highly realistic and practice-oriented learning experience.
On December 10, Caucasus University hosted a public lecture for students of the School of Law as part of the international 16-day campaign against violence toward women. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Eliso Rukhadze, representing “Eliso Rukhadze & Partners,” and focused on the legal and psychological dimensions of violence against women.
Meetings at the National Bureau of Enforcement with representatives of various higher education institutions are ongoing. On this occasion, students of Caucasus University were provided with information about the enforcement system and its operational framework.
On November 27, Caucasus University hosted a meeting for students of Caucasus School of Law as part of the 16-day global campaign against violence against women and domestic violence. The campaign aims to combat violence, raise public awareness, promote prevention, and highlight the state services available to victims of violence.
On 21 November, Caucasus University hosted a public lecture delivered by Ursina Weidkun, Swiss juvenile court judge, international expert on children’s rights, member of the Executive Board of the International Association of Youth and Family Judges and Magistrates (AIMJF), and Doctor of Law. The lecture was held in collaboration with Professor Levan Darbaidze and was intended for students of Caucasus University School of Law.
On 20 November, the Caucasus University Child Rights Center, in cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), hosted the Third International Conference on “Children’s Rights in the Justice System – Challenges and Perspectives.”
