Competition - Cyber Security Future Expert

The Caucasus School of Technology, the Caucasus Cyber Security Center, and the Scientific Cyber Security Association hosted the fourth competition " Cyber Security Future Expert " on March 25 at Caucasus University, with teams of 10-12 grade students competing. The teams had to present a cyber security project in the form of a 10-15-minute presentation.

 

About 50 students participated in the competition. Based on the number of participating teams, it became the largest competition among school events held before.

 

The submitted projects were evaluated by a jury specially appointed for this competition:

 

Dachi Zedginidze - Cyber Security Bureau of Georgia;

Giorgi Kvirikashvili - student of the joint cyber security program of Caucasus University and New Jersey City University;

Davit Bochorishvili - head of the web developers’ team of the Scientific Cyber Security Association, web penetration tester.

Experts in the field of cyber security were also invited as speakers at the event:

Maksim Iavich - director of the Cyber Security Center, president of SCSA;

Andro Gotsiridze - founder of CYSEC, director of the Cyber Security Bureau (2014-2016);

Giorgi Akhalaia - technical director of SCSA.

 

In the final part of the event, the jury members sorted the winning projects in the first, second and third places. The teams were given appropriate certificates and symbolic prizes:

 

  • First place - team Bug Magnits (project: Defense against RAT Trojan)
  • Second place - team Shieldify (project: Web Application Firewall based on ML & AI); Ransopm-Game (Project: Ransom-Game)
  • Third place - Snowden (project: Firewall); Lonewolf NC-M1 (Project: Ensuring Organizational Security)
