The Cybersecurity Center team of Caucasus University won the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia Young Scientists Research Grant Competition.

The project's young scientist is Giorgi Iashvili, an Associate Professor at Caucasus University and Deputy Director of the Cybersecurity Center. His mentor is Maksim Iavich, a Professor at Caucasus University and Director of the Cybersecurity Center.

The winning project's topic is "A New Secure and Efficient Post-Quantum Digital Signature Scheme with Integrated Random Number Generator".

The research will focus on optimizing post-quantum digital signatures by integrating pseudo-random and quantum random number generators. It will include a detailed examination of both types of generators to enhance their efficiency and security.

The results will be tested in a quantum laboratory set to be established at Caucasus University in the near future. This will be the first quantum laboratory in Georgia and the most advanced in the region.

The duration of the project is 2 years.
