New Jersey City University delegation visits Caucasus University

New Jersey City University delegation is paying a work visit to Caucasus University in Georgia.

 

The main purpose of the visit is to discuss the details of the Joint Program and the status of the project, to share detailed information with applicants interested in the program with the partner university. They also visited the campus where they were introduced to the infrastructure of Caucasus University and the services that students will use within the framework of the program.

 

Within the framework of the visit, representatives of New Jersey City University and Caucasus University also discussed the possibilities of implementing a new joint program in journalism and information technologies.

 

The meeting was attended by: Tamara Jhashi - Rector and Senior Vice President, New Jersey City University; Tamara Cunningham - Associate Vice President,  New Jersey City University; Marvin Walker, Associate Dean.

 

The guests were hosted by: Dr. Kakha Shengelia - President of Caucasus University; Khatia Goglidze - Vice President in Monitoring and Administration; Buba Lezhava - Vice President of Caucasus University; Irena Melua - Director of the International Relations and Projects Department and other representatives of Caucasus University.

 

Traditionally, at the end of the meeting guests were given a campus tour.

 

Caucasus University together with New Jersey City University is implementing the first 3-year joint undergraduate program in cyber security. The Joint Program is the first in Georgia. It allows applicants to study at the undergraduate level for only 3 years and receive two university diplomas, study abroad at a leading American University and receive knowledge from international level foreign and Georgian professors.

 

New Jersey City University, located in New Jersey, United States, is one of the few institutions in the country with federal rights in both cyber security and intelligence, and whose cyber defense program has been named the National Center for academic arts in cyber defense education (Kae-KDE).
