Starting this March, Caucasus University is piloting upgraded courses developed within the Erasmus+ Re-Direction project (Redefining Higher Education in a Digital Context). The initiative strengthens curricula in line with EU best practices, focusing on digital skills, inclusivity, sustainability, and security.

From January 26 to February 6, 2026, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education funded project PRODIGE (Promoting Quality Digital Education in Georgia), a training session T3.3 titled “Course Delivery and Teaching Methods for Digital Education” was held.

In an age where education and communication increasingly take place online, cross-cultural communication has become more than just a nice skill - it’s essential for true global cooperation. Projects like VIRTUALLYEDU - Virtual Exchanges and Education on Digital Skills, show why these matters.

The scientific journal of the Faculty of History and Social Sciences of the Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University “Main Issues of Teaching History”, 2025 N1(3), published the article “Teaching Modern European History: Problems, Practice and Prospects” by Professor Guranda Tchelidze of the Jean Monnet Chair “European Union for Peace, Prosperity and Security” (EU-PPS).

On January 15-16, Caucasus University hosted a two-day workshop within the framework of the European Commission–funded project - Responsible Conduct of Research – Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS). The meeting focused on the development of a science communication strategy and was co-organized by Ilia State University and Caucasus University.

On December 18, at the initiative of the Horizon Europe National Office, an Information Day was held at Caucasus University, with the participation of CU academic staff.

The training “Adapting the Structures and Organizational Behavior for Digital Education – Organizing Technical and Support Services” was held within the scope of the PRODIGE (Promoting Quality Digital Education in Georgia) project, funded by the Erasmus+ Institutional Development Program (Capacity Building in Higher Education).

On December 4–5, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Institutional Development Programme–funded project Promoting Quality Digital Education in Georgia (PRODIGE), a project consortium meeting and the National Roundtable were held at Tbilisi State University, with the participation of representatives from Caucasus University.

On December 1–3, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Institutional Development Program and the funded project Promoting Quality Digital Education in Georgia (PRODIGE), a series of intensive trainings was held at Tbilisi State University. Caucasus University was represented by Tiniko Gioshvili, Tamar Telia, and Keti Shengelia – managers from the Career Development and Employment Promotion Office and the Human Resources Department.

Caucasus University has developed the Exploitation Plan for the PRODIGE project (“Promoting High-Quality Digital Education in Georgia”). The purpose of the document is to define how the project’s outcomes can be used and integrated within institutional processes after the formal completion of project activities.
