In 2026, Caucasus University established an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal, Caucasus Law Journal, headed by its Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Irakli Shamatava, Affiliated Associate Professor at the School of Law of Caucasus University.
The Journal aims to publish practice-oriented, scholarly, and comparative legal research and to promote in-depth academic discussion in the field of law. It seeks to achieve high academic standing and international recognition, facilitate the integration of Georgian law into the European and international legal landscape, and establish an international platform for legal scholarship.
The Journal has been assigned the International Standard Serial Numbers ISSN 3088-4446 (print edition) and e-ISSN 3088-4454 (electronic edition). Caucasus University is the official publisher of the Journal.
The Journal is published in English twice a year, in both print and electronic formats. Special supplementary issues may also be published by decision of the Editorial Board. Publication in the Journal is free of charge.
The Journal welcomes manuscripts that demonstrate scientific originality and address current theoretical or practical legal issues. Manuscripts may be submitted by individual authors or co-authored by multiple contributors.
Submissions are welcome from academic and invited staff of Caucasus University, representatives of other higher education institutions in Georgia, professors and researchers affiliated with foreign universities and research institutions, independent researchers, doctoral candidates, and legal practitioners.
All scholarly manuscripts submitted to the Journal undergo independent double-blind peer review. The Journal operates under an Open Access model, and articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence.
The Journal's development policy includes implementing the procedures necessary for gradual inclusion in international academic indexing databases, strengthening international scholarly cooperation, and increasing its visibility within the global academic community.
