In 2026, Caucasus University established the Caucasus Law Journal (CLJ), an international refereed and peer-reviewed academic journal. Its Editor-in-Chief is Irakli Shamatava, Affiliated Associate Professor at the Caucasus University School of Law and Doctor of Law.
The Journal aims to publish practical, academic, and comparative legal research, while also promoting deeper scholarly discussion. It seeks to build a strong international academic reputation, support the integration of Georgian law into the European and international legal environment, and develop an international scholarly platform.
The Journal has been assigned the following International Standard Serial Numbers: ISSN 3088-4446 and e-ISSN 3088-4454. Its official publisher is Caucasus University.
The Journal is published in English twice a year. A special supplementary issue may also be published by decision of the Editorial Board. Publication of articles in the Journal is free of charge.
The Journal accepts manuscripts that offer original scholarly contributions and address current issues in law. Manuscripts may be submitted individually or in co-authorship.
Submissions are welcome from academic and invited staff of Caucasus University, representatives of higher education institutions in Georgia, professors and researchers from foreign universities and research centers, independent researchers, doctoral students, and legal practitioners.
The Journal’s development policy also provides for the gradual implementation of the procedures required for indexing in international academic databases.
